The page-turning video book for Vaillant is chosen for the Promotional Gift Award 2020
“What an honor!” – Chris Bardin, the founder of the print manufacturer Audio Logo GmbH, said when the winners of the Promotional Gift Awards 2020 were announced. With the Vaillant page-turning video book, the development team from Ummerstadt was recognized for a video book which magically changes videos based upon turning pages with an integrated central screen. All the pages are die-cut giving constant view of the integrated screen. When turning the page, the film changes to match the video for a particular product page. The book is in A4 format with 28 pages and a 7.0” HD IPS screen. The volume can be individually adjusted using a volume control wheel in the middle of the book. As a video sales tool, it provides information about the manufacturer’s wide range of heat pumps and thus manages to get to the point of very complex content in very short explanatory videos. The page-turning book was designed for B2B use on behalf of the Vaillant creative agency dialog one Direkt Marketing in Austria. Packed in a matching slipcase, this high-quality print product impressed the demanding jury of the Promotional Gift Awards in the “Custom-made” category. “We are really excited about the award,” said Chris Bardin. “Because we put our heart and soul in this page-turning book but also because it demonstrates our capabilities working with our partners in the far east.” From the creative idea to the technical development to the manufacture, Audio Logo manufactures most orders in house. The company’s equipment park now includes its own plotter and bookbinding machines. Premium products such as the page-turning book can thus be produced on site very quickly with high quality control. For larger editions, Audio Logo produces with close partners in Asia who produce and deliver at Audio Logo’s demanding quality level. The award for Vaillant’s Page Turning Book is already the 4th prize of its kind that Audio Logo has received for its innovative customer projects since 2015. In 2015 the team won with a video book for Allianz Global Investors, in 2016 with sound packaging for Workday and in 2019 with the video packaging for Alulux. The Promotional Gift Award is an international award for haptic advertising, which has been awarded by the Cologne publishing house WA Media since 2003. Manufacturers, importers, distributors, designers, agencies and advertising companies from Germany, Europe and the world are invited to submit the “Best of” their advertising materials and developments every year. The PGA 2020 was awarded in 7 categories.
