How to entice customers to make an impulse purchase with sound, light and video

Did you know that 68% of all purchasing decisions are made spontaneously? And that as many as 70% of decisions for a particular brand are made while in the store? A full 95% of customers are also open to spontaneous purchases, and only 5% remain loyal to their familiar or already used brand. These findings, which come from an expert study of 2010 (“Shopper Marketing”, Kogan Page; 2010), are the gateway to your future more than successful POS marketing!

“In every crisis lies an opportunity”, is a currently often used statement. And so you can take advantage of the standstill that prevails almost everywhere in the world due to the Corona pandemic: Initiate everything it takes to create experiences at the point of sale in the future that will be remembered by potential buyers. How do you do that? The best way is with multisensory technology – because it’s not just our eyes that react to stimuli, but our ears as well. What’s more, skillful staging with multiple visual stimuli puts your product in the spotlight even more.

 

Battery-powered sound products for use at the point of sale

People need attention; this creates feelings of notice and appreciation. A video cleverly combines all the stimuli that have a particularly good effect on human perception. As a video display with automatic playback or as a touchscreen for the perfect customer experience – Hans Grohe, AEG and Ströer successfully demonstrate this.
